<p><b>Biankouma</b> est une ville de l'ouest de la <a href="../../../../articles/c/%C3%B4/t/C%C3%B4te_d%27Ivoire_ed5b.html" title="Côte d'Ivoire">Côte d'Ivoire</a>, en <a href="../../../../articles/a/f/r/Afrique_de_l%27ouest.html" class="mw-redirect" title="Afrique de l'ouest">Afrique de l'ouest</a> située à environ 700 km d'<a href="../../../../articles/a/b/i/Abidjan.html" title="Abidjan">Abidjan</a> et à 46 km au nord de <a href="../../../../articles/m/a/n/Man.html" title="Man">Man</a>.</p>
<p><i>Biangouin</i>, qui signifie en <a href="../../../../articles/y/a/c/Yacouba.html" title="Yacouba">Yacouba</a> « au dessus du mont Bian », désignait à l'origine un petit village situé sur le <i>Mont Bian</i>. Par déformation orale, Biangouin est devenu Biankouma.</p>
<p>Le vieux village de <b>Biankouma</b> est caractéristique de l'habitat <a href="../../../../articles/y/a/c/Yacouba.html" title="Yacouba">Yacouba</a>. Les tisserands y fabriquent des toiles en bleu et blanc, avec du véritable <a href="../../../../articles/i/n/d/Indigo.html" title="Indigo">indigo</a>.</p>

<p>Biankouma compte aujourd'hui 10 <a href="../../../../articles/q/u/a/Quartier.html" title="Quartier">quartiers</a> urbains et 14 quartiers ruraux. Le territoire a un relief très accidenté et est couvert par une forêt dense et une forêt galerie. Le climat de la région est doux et humide : la température excède rarement les 30° à l'ombre. Plusieurs rivières desservent la localité.</p>

<li><i>a ga ganhanleu quihi dô</i> signifie <i>regarde attentivement pour connaitre</i> est un proverbe <a href="../../../../articles/y/a/c/Yacouba.html" title="Yacouba">Yacouba</a> qui a été modifié en <i>GAN</i> pour dire aux ennemis de <i>faire attention à ce village</i> car il est dangereux.</li>
<li><i>Gan</i> est chef-lieu de <a href="../../../../articles/c/a/n/Canton.html" title="Canton">canton</a>, c'est à dire qu'il commande le <b>Gansè</b> (canton GAN). <b>Les Diomandé</b>, dont l'ancien <a href="../../../../articles/m/i/n/Ministre.html" title="Ministre">ministre</a> LOUA DIOMANDE de feu le Président <a href="../../../../articles/f/%C3%A9/l/F%C3%A9lix_Houphou%C3%ABt-Boigny_3a10.html" title="Félix Houphouët-Boigny">Félix Houphouët-Boigny</a>, y sont traditionnellement les chefs de canton.</li>

<b>L'histoire de Biankouma</b></p>
<p><b>Biangouiné ou Biangouin</b> pour désigner la même ville: <b>Biankouma</b>, selon que vous êtes Toura, Yacouba ou malinké. Biankouma, en effet, est un pittoresque petit village Yacouba situé aujourd'hui au flanc du Mont - Bian peuplé de plus de 2.000 âmes dans le département de Biankouma en Côte d'Ivoire. Tous des Toura et Yacouba.</p>
<p>Ce peuple, à l'orée du 3ème millénaire, garde encore jalousement ses valeurs traditionnelles : <b>cases sacrées, fête d'igname, fête de circoncision. Courses de masques, réservées aux jeunes et pratiquées les lundis, jour de marché hebdomadaire de la région.</b> <b>En dépit de la présence de la Sodeci (Société de distribution d'eau en Côte d'Ivoire), les habitants du village ancien de Biankouma affectionnent encore la consommation de l'eau des marigots.</b></p>
<p>Depuis 1992 aux différentes cérémonies de réjouissances culturelles s'ajoute désormais l'organisation biennale de Festrabi (Festival de danses Traditionnelles de Biankouma) initié par le maire <b>Alphonse Woï Messé</b> et son conseil municipal.</p>
<p>A l'image de la plupart des villages de l'Ouest de le Côte d'Ivoire, Biankouma était un village perché au sommet du Mont Bian. D'où : <b>Bian-gouin ou Biangouiné ou Bian-kouma, pour simplement dire : village situé au sommet du Mont Bian.</b> La dénomination - Bian - signifierait en langue locale "Malheur", surtout malheur à l'ennemi.</p>
<p>La situation du village ancien de Biankouma, en altitude, permettait autrefois aux habitants des lieux d'identifier aisément, et de loin, des éventuels envahisseurs.</p>
<p>Biankouma village n'aurait changé de site que quelques années après la capture du conquérant <b>Samory Touré à Guélémou ou Guéoulé (sous l'iroko en Yacouba</b>) en 1898, l'un des 78 villages de la sous-préfecture de Biankouma.</p>
<p>Depuis, Biankouma village est devenu l'un des premiers sites naturels touristiques du département de Biankouma, situé en plein coeur d'une ville en évolution.</p>
<p>Biankouma village est caractérisé par un habitat de type Yacouba très ancien, voulu par les différents chefs traditionnels qui se sont succédé.</p>
<p>Seule une piste carrossable de 400 mètres de longueur permet l'accès à ce village. Cinq grandes familles composent la population du village ancien. Ce sont <b>les Maniga, les Diomandé, les Bamba, les Soumahoro et les Bakayoko.</b> En dépit des noms à consonances musulmanes (Bakoyoko, Bamba ) la quasi-totalité de la population du village ancien de Biankouma est animiste. En lieu et place des mosquées, il y a des cases sacrées. Deux parmi elles sont réservées aux masques. Celles-ci sont appelées <b>"Gueï-Khô ".</b> Cinq autres sont destinées aux rassemblements des notables et du chef pour le règlement des conflits. Les cases sacrées sont aussi des lieux d'invocation des esprits des anciens ou ancêtres en cas de sinistres ou de bonheur dans le village. Ici, il s'agit des <b>Gbouhou-Khô.</b></p>
<p>Ces noms sont très souvent des noms d'emprunt afin d'échapper autre fois aux razzias des sofas de Samory Touré.</p>
<p>Outre leur fonction de tribunal ou d'autel pour les sacrifices, les cases sacrées sont de <b>véritables musées traditionnels où sont jalousement conservés les objets très anciens : arcs, lances, boubous de guerre, gibecières, cuillères en bois, fétiche et ustensiles de cuisine</b> Le "locataire" de la case sacrée est une personne adulte, sage et discrète qui a un respect scrupuleux des valeurs traditionnelles. Les femmes n'y ont pas accès.</p>
<p>Les cases sacrées sont facilement identifiables. Elles sont entourées d'arbres géants aux feuilles larges et palmées. Les devantures de ces cases sont tapissées de larges pierres.</p>
<p>Biankouma village est subdivisé en 12 quartiers dont 11 sont exclusivement habités par des Toura et Yacouba. Le 12ème est habité par la communauté malinké qui y exerce la cordonnerie et la poterie.</p>
<p>Les maisons d'habitation à Biankouma village sont des cases rondes construites à partir de terre argileuse. Elles sont couvertes de pailles. La case principale est habitée par le chef de famille. Elle est entourée par des cases " femelles" qui accueillent les femmes et les enfants. Chacune des cases est caractérisée par deux issues. L'ouverture principale (la porte d'entrée) et l'issue de secours moins grande et ouverte discrètement vers les cases des épouses.</p>
